About Us
Dr. Bastian Verhaelen
Dr. Bastian Verhaelen studied Industrial Engineering at RWTH Aachen and Tsinghua University in Beijing. He received his doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) with a thesis on Global Supply Chains. Before joining HSEQ, Dr. Verhaelen worked as a consultant and advisor in Supply Chain Management, focusing on optimizing business processes, particularly in procurement, and in supply chain configuration. He has also managed international consulting projects as a research associate and project manager, for example in France, Eastern Europe, and China.
Marco Beckers, M.Sc.
Marco Beckers, M.Sc. completed training as a bank clerk and studied Industrial Engineering at RWTH Aachen. Before joining HSEQ, Mr. Beckers was a development engineer co-responsible for establishing the production services department of a mechanical engineering company for plant construction in the additive manufacturing of metallic components. In this capacity, he gained several years of profound project management experience in designing the process chain from idea to product for manufacturing companies. Furthermore, Mr. Beckers has been able to expand his expertise at international professional conferences, for example through presentations in Northern, Southern, and Central Europe as well as the USA.
